Petros Mbewu is a founding member of NESS and is the Chairman of NE Holdings, the majority shareholder in NESS. Prior to taking an executive role in NESS, Petros held a number of senior executive positions in a wide range of industries and blue chip organizations including SFW now Distell, SAB Miller, Telkom SA, and Sizwe Medical Services. His most recent appointment was with Alcatel South Africa where he was responsible for establishing Channels to Market in the Southern and Eastern Africa Regions. 

His experience includes HR Management, Sales and Marketing, Government and Regulatory Relations as well as Corporate Affairs. Petros Mbewu has really made his mark in Financial Services, as CEO of Safrican Insurance Company where he led a remarkable turnaround, introducing new products and opening up new channels and increasing Premium Income by more than 60% in 3 years.​

Petros Mbewu has served on a number of Boards including representing the LOA on the Inseta Board and serving the LOA as the Coordinator of the HR Committee.
